So the Wife is back from surgery last week, came home the same day. they
took a two pound mass from Her as well as all the chick organs they do in total
hysterectomy and we'll get the final word in a couple of weeks, though they say
it's nearly certain no cancer. No treatment is ongoing, except She has just
needed rest, etc. And, they did much better this surgery with helping Her with
nausea caused by anesthesia. She does have that issue, but they put a patch on
Her beforehand, and gave Her meds during the operation so She wouldn't have
this trouble afterwards. The people at that hospital were really helpful to us,
most of them except for one were talking to me rather than around me, which
you all know if you're trying to care for someone else, the last thing you need is
someone trying to talk around you as though you're the family dog, when what
you need is instructions to help your partner.
I'm glad she's doing better and will keep hoping there is no cancer left. Good luck, and keep us posted.
I'm so happy she's doing better, Leo! A two pound mass? Damn! I've got to admit, that part staggered me a little bit. Let us know how the tests on it come back. My prayers are still with her. I'm also glad the hospital staff were good at talking to and working with you, with the one exception. Believe me, I hear you on that issue of someone trying to talk around you when you're the caregiver for your partner. Thanks for the update!
Ah, thanks, Leo. This is good to hear. Hope everything's ok now.
Glad to hear your wife is doing better. I imagine that's all very scary, especially for her, and especially losing her "chick organs" as you put it. I hope she will continue to improve. At least, all things considered, you had a decent experience at the hospital.
Leo! That's wonderful! I know something about losing the "organs." One thing to give her a break on, is she'll get a tad moody. It's what happens when we lose those precious parts. I didn't even lose my tubes, and I was a terror!
Hospitals, I'm glad to say, are starting to treat us who are blind, a lot better, and more humanely.
Praying the recovery goes very smoothly.
Blessings,
Sarah
Glad to hear. Smile.
I'm glad to hear this, Leo!
Two pounds? Are you sure that wasn't a baby or something? lol
Glad she's doing good though, and no cancer. :)
Hugs all around! This is excellent news! Now, both of you can relax. It's all positives from here on in!
Glad she's through the surgery. The best thing she can do for herself at this point is rest, rest, and then rest some more. When she gets tired of resting, she can rest again. lol She's in good hands though.
Oh yeah, don't let the pain get ahead of her pain meds for the first weeok or so. I was bad about not wanting to take mine and by the time I would break down and take them, I had bought myself extra time of hurting while waiting for them to kick in.
Best wishes for you both while she recovers.
lots of hugs and thanks for updating us on her situation. glad she came through surgery. yes, my jaw dropped when I read 2 lbs. wow ...
Thanks for the update, Leo. I was starting to wonder what had happened.
